This course allows the student to learn to use word processing and presentation software. It allows students to present written materials in a professional and appealing manner. Students will learn how to apply the features of a presentation software program to design, create, and edit professional quality presentations. They will also learn word processing fundamentals including the features used with basic line, page, and document formatting. Topics include: creating, saving, retrieving, formatting, drawing, editing, and printing documents; changing fonts, creation of "slides" and "slideshows," graphics, tables, merging, sorting, columns, styles, document generation, macros, and appropriate application of each of these features to enhance the preparation and presentation of a variety of documents. It is designed for those with no prior programming experience. This course fulfills a general education requirement in Natural Science and Mathematics.
