Introduces the possibilities and potential of the printmaking media for generating fine art ideas and images. Explores the beginning of a variety of traditional and contemporary printmaking processes including monotype and mono-print, relief, and engraving. Covers the history of printing along with featured artists, application of media, process and techniques and printing methods. Introduces printmaking vocabulary and aesthetics. Lecture/lab as well as critique, presentation and creation of a series of completed portfolio works.
